The Grid is Powered by a New Executive Director

DTLA based economic development and startup community organization, Grid110, welcomes first ED and gears up to announce plans for future programming at rooftop soiree on July 20th.

LOS ANGELES, California (July 19, 2017) - Grid110 will formally celebrate their newly appointed Executive Director and latest community partners, as well as reveal information regarding their next program cycle at their upcoming event on July 20th.

Grid110 has appointed Miki Reynolds, an original co-founder of the organization and prominent downtown community leader, to take the reins as the nonprofit’s first Executive Director. Grid110’s Board of Directors are honored to have Reynolds officially champion their efforts going forward in making a greater impact on the city. The current Board of Directors includes founding team members Jared Goodner, Prashant Samant, Megan Sette, Justin Wolske and Stephen Kane.

Chairman of the Board, Kane, affirmed "Miki is one of the most superb people I know, and by far the most committed individual to build the DTLA startup ecosystem. We're beyond grateful that she stepped up to be our ED and couldn't imagine, invent or hope for anyone better.”

Reynolds has 12+ years of experience working in tech, ranging from digital marketing and creative services to software development and e-commerce. After managing digital projects at global entertainment corporations like MGM Studios and 20th Century Fox, and building communities for startups like HowAboutWe, she launched the downtown location for tech education company, General Assembly, and initiated the creation of their DTLA City Manager position, which earned her accolades by publications like LA Biz Journal who recognized Reynolds as a 2017 Woman of Influence.

"As someone who has lived, worked and played in DTLA for over 5 years, I’ve experienced the creative evolution and reinvention of this community firsthand, which makes me incredibly excited to take the lead as we continue to broaden our programs to support entrepreneurs in downtown, and scale the growth of the startup ecosystem in Los Angeles on the whole,” says Reynolds.

Reynolds will be publicly welcomed into leadership and will share Grid110’s vision for the next cycle of programming at the July 20th celebration, taking place from 7-9pm, at Nixon Peabody LLP’s rooftop terrace, 300 South Grand Ave, Suite 4100, Los Angeles, CA 90071. Nixon Peabody LLP will also be commended at the event for their commitment to economic development and for their support of Grid110’s work. The event is open to the public and those interested in attending the soiree are welcome to RSVP at grid2017.splashthat.com, RSVP required to attend.
